THE OAMARU RACES.

The Oamaru Jockey Club races took place to-day. The weather was five, but owing to the busy time of the year in harvesting operations, there was not so lirge an attendance a3 usual. For several of the races there were good fields. The following are the results :—: —
Maiden Plate, of 40 soys.
Oamaru Autumn Handicap, of 100 soys.
Oamaru Derby, of 50 soys.
Trot, of 30 soys : once round course.
Counties Plate, of 30 soys ; 6 furlongs ; weight for age.
Stewards' Handicap, of 50 soys ; 1 mile.
Welter Scdrry, of 10 soys. - -
