W. H. Clapham y H, Axup, judgment summons for £2 14s lOd. There being bo appearance of either parties, the case was struck out.
J. L. Stevenson v Reneti Tapa, judgment summons for £15 3s 6d. An order was made for immediate payment, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
W. T. Nettleship v F. Rowley, judgment summons for £3 165.. A telegram received from defendant was read offering to pay at the rate of £2 per month. An order was made accordingly, in default 4 days' imprisonment. Judgment for plaintiffs was given in the following cases : — G. Hamilton v. W. Von Keisenberg, £2 8s 3d ; F. Hall v. J. Mclvor, £2 2s lOd ; G. Carson v. Professor Payne, . £7 8s 6d ; Wanganui Herald Company v. Professor Payne, £3 ss. APPLICATION TO TAKE EVIDENCE. In the case B.Beyman v. R. Slattery, B. Peyman, sworn, gave evidence that defendant owed him £3 15s, due on his P.N., dated September 3rd, 1883. The bill was duly presented for payment, aud returned dishonored. The defendant had written,, promising to pay (letter produced), and the > whole waa now due. The Court then adjourned.
