THE FOXTON REGATTA.

(per united press association).

Foxton, March 13.

Magnificient weather for the regatta. The attendance is moderate. The sailing race was won easily by Gannaway's Rover; Stewart's Albatross second. This boat was built by Banckham, of Ashurst, and held first position on the first round, but being badly sailed, the race was thrown away. Six entered, but only two went round the course.

Senior Fours, Inrigged. — The Wanganui Unions made a bad start, but shortly afterwards collared the Foxton crew, and paddled home some lengths ahead. Junior Outrigged.— Half a mile from home one of the riggers in the Foxton boat broke, and the Wanganui crew only passed the post.

The other two races are considered morals for the Wanganui crews. No time 3 taken for the races.
