March 12.
At the Waste Land Board to-day an opinion was received from the Crown Solicitor to the effect that the second highest bidder for a section cannot be declared the purchaser when the license issued to the highest bidder has been forfeited. The Board decided to forward the opinion to the Minister of Lands.
