STOCK REPORT.

' Our usual fortnightly sale took place on the 14th. The attendance was good, and bidding brisk throughout, nearly all the lots being sold under the hammer. Prices generally had an upward tendency, particularly < . those of beef. CATTLI-— 165 came forward. Fat bullocks, £6 3s 6d to £6 15s; fat cows, £5 3s to £5 10s; 2fyear heifers, £3 2s 6d; store cows, £2 15s to £3 j milking cows in calf, £3 15s to £4 10s ; yearlings, 40s ; 18-montha heifers, 48s. Sheep— About 760 of all classes came forward, and were all disposed of. Fat wethers, 11s 4d to lls 7d ; fat sheep, 9s to 9s Sd ; 2-tooth wethers, 8s ; lambs, 4s to 5s 3d ; f*t iambi, 5a lid. - Pigs— Good porkers, 20s, 6b, lls. Horses— Horses are very dull. We - quitted one 3-year-old mare, by Painter, for £25, and a few hacks from £4 to £7.

Frozen Mkats.— The consignment of Mutton per,"Cuzco " (s) has been sold, the average Yield of the whole parcel being about 5d per lb. The market is now bare of Colonial meat. The next shipment from Australia will be that per '* Garonne " (s), due here on 18th proximo. We quote as follows— Good English and Scotch beef {bodies) 4s and 5s per 81bs j mutton (carcases) 5s and 6s 4d per 81bs. Nbw Zealand Hemp.— At auction held on the 20th inst, 407 bales were brought forward, but only 80 found purchasers at about £ 27 to £27 10s per ton for parcels of
