MARLBOROUGH RACES.

■ Blenheim, Feb 14. The Marlborough races were commenced to-day. The weather was very hot, with a north-easterly wind blowing. The attendance was very fair, people coming from Wellington, Nelson, and all parts of the province. There was one totalisator in the saddling paddock, worked by Hill and Poole.
