RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for numbers 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15, and entry for Maiden Race, to be made to the Secretary on or before Saturday, December 16, at 9 p.m., at Mr H. N. Brown's, Victoria Avenue. Handicaps to be declared on Thursday. December 21st. Acceptances and entries for remaining events will be received at the Secretary's office on the ground on the day of the sports. The races will be run under the rules, of the late Wanganui Amateur Athletic Club. No nomination or entry will be received unless accompanied with the proper fees. Competitors must appear in proper costume. A bell will ring 15 minutes before the starting of each event, when final payments must be made. ; Four competitors- to start or no third prize ; three or no second ;. two or no first. The decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final. Swings will be erected on different parts of the ground. • Booths, Refreshment stalls, &c, will be provided. Sports to commence at 10.30 sharp. The Wonganui Rifles' Band will be in attendance. Swings, Dancing on the Lawn, Cricket, - Croquet, Lawn Tennis, Quoits, Football, &e.,&c, &c.
