Owing to the continued decrease of the water-suply, the mains will be charged only during certain hours after Wednesday next, should there be no heavy rain in the meantime.

Nov 21. At a meeting ot the Executive Council this morning, the case of Antonio M. Sabnell, recently found guilty and sentenced to death for murder near Normauby (Taranaki), was considered, and it was decided to commute the sentence to penal servitude for life.
The Aurora Australis was very brilliant last night.
