Auction Sales FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S SALES. WEDNESDAY, 9th FEBRUARY. SALE OF THE RUATANGATA RUN. THREEMAN R. JACKSON has been faJj voured with instructions from Messrs Owen and Lethbridge to sell by auction, at the Wool Stores, Victoria Avenue, Wanganui, on Wednesday, 9th February, 1881, THE RUATANGATA STATION, Consisting of oAtcr^^ Cß>ES » and held under a OUU" Native Lease, dated. August Ist, 1879, for twenty-one years, at the following yearly rent, viz : For one year at £400 j for seven years at £500 ; the remaining 12 years at £600. The Station has been occupied about 15 years under a former lease. . It is situated on the main road, nine miles distant from Wanganui, and within one quarter of a mile of the Wangaehu Railway Station. The property is bounded on two sides by the Wangaehu and Turakina Rivers, which are perfect boundaries, the other boundaries being fenced with live fences, all in good order. It is divided into 10 paddocks, varying in size from 100 to 1000 acres, besides 6 other smaller paddocks, from 5 to 25 acres each, all well and securely fenced. The land is of the very best quality, a large proportion being alluvial river deposits and splendid table lands, the rest low hills. The j whole property is well laid down in English : grasses, and splendidly watered. Its pres- ! ent carrying capabilities are 20,000 sheep and 1000 head of cattle. The lakes and rivers are well stocked with perch and trout, and there is plenty of good shooting on the estate. The improvements are complete, consisting of a nine-roomed dwelling house, men's hut, woolshed, and cattle and bull-houses j stable with loose boxes and stalls ; stockyard, sheep pens, and everything necessary for working the station. The Stock, consisting of pure-bred Cattle, Sheep, and Horses, will be sold by auction during the first week in March, and possession of the Run can be given on or. about March 14th, 1881.
