Napier, July 27. j The natives renew their claim for 260 acres \ of Harding's property at Mount Sermon, valued at from £10 to £15 per acre, and let at from £1 to 30s per acre. They again turned one of the tenants off the land yesterday, unyoking the horses and throwing the ploughs over the boundary. No claim was previously made to this land. An official notification has been received that Government will not interfere. The H.B. Herald's Waipawa correspondent, a however, to-night telegraphs that the natives profess themselves willing to submit their claims to a number of old settlers.
