At Lyttelton yesterday a fire broke out in the galley of the brig Fawn, but was extinguished before much damage was done. An inquiry will probably be held. A fire broke out in Wilson's tannery. The flames spread quickly, but was eventually overcome. The estimated loss is between £600 and £600.
