INSTRUCTIONS to the GOVERNOR.
London, May 6. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, in reply to a question", said that with a view to an early settlement of ' the difficulties in Zululand, instructions had been sent to the Governor and High Commissioner to abstain from a policy of annexation, and confine his efforts to protecting the colonies from danger.
