She crossed the bar yesterday morning, and came up to Commercial wharf last night. She brings a general cargo. The Arthur Wakefield left Motueka on Saturday and arrived off the bar on Sunday night. She got over the bar yesterday morning and came up to the Corporation wharf thdta forenoon, The schooner Poneke is reported outside the bar. It is thought that she brings the first instalment of piles for the wharf. The schooner Elizabeth Conway is also reported as being off the bar, WRECK OF THE SCHOONER CONCORDA. She reports the wreck of the American schooner Conoorda, from" Frisco to New Zealand via Rarotonga, with a cargo valued at 22,000 dollars. She was wrecked in March on Scilly Island, westward of the Society Group. The [crew were forty days on the Island, suffering terrible hardships, when they were picked up by the Caroline schooner and brought to Tahiti. ARRIVAL OF THE CITY OF SYDNEY. ■ • (by telegraph.) Auckland, May 7. The City of Sydney, with the English mails via San Francisco, arrived at 6 o.clook this morning. She spoke the City of New York, which experienced a heavy gale after leaving Auckland, and was hove to for twelve hours. The New Zealand passengers are — Manson, Lewis, Stevenson and wife, Clarke, and 8 steerage. She brings 195 tons cargo and 314 bags mails. (BY CABLE.) Melbourne, Tuesday.
