Canterbury men are anxious to secure a real " flyer. A telegram was recently sent to Sydney inquiring the price of Chester with a view to purchase. The reply was to the effect that his figure was 4000 guineas, and that ot Bqsworth 1000 less.

Auckland, April 8. The entries and acceptances for the Autumn meeting close on Friday night.
