THE PATEA HARBOUR BOARD.

The new Harbour Board assembled yesterday. Mr Sherwood was unanimously re-blected chairman. The plans of a new wharf and a largo store prepared for the Board. The local steam company will float.

In reply to enquiry, the Lyttelton Harbour Board received a telegram from, tho Government to the effect that no warning had been received from Home to protect the harbours of the colony.
