Amongst other arrangement made by the Yogel reception Committee is a supply of free beer at each corner on thft route of the procession. On the arrival of the Arawata, the Superintendent, Mayor, and District members waited on Sir Julius Yogel and welcomed him in the name of the inhabitants of Westland, and congratulated him on hi.s restored health. Answers received from Wellington and Canterbury arc unfavorable. Dunedin, Feb. 9. Chess match, Dunedin v. Auckland adjourned at half past 1 this morning. Will probably be continued this evening. A great many people visited the City of San Francisco. The Artillery scored G22 in the match against the Ohristchufch Battery. The weather was very unfavorable.
