ESales by Auction. THURSDAY, 2nd MARCH, 1876. PUBLIC SALE. VALUABLE IMPORTED STOCK. MESSRS BETHUNE and HUNTEE WILL sell by public auction at their Saleyards, Manners Street, on Thursday, 2nd March, at 2 o'clock — Ex Pleiades, feom London. CARDINAL, a pure bred shorthorned Bull, roan, calved 22nd of November, 1873 ; sire, Penrhyn (25,421) ; dam, Charming (24,870), GALLANT PRINCE, a pure bred fehort-horned Bull, rich roan, calved 10th July, ,1873; sire, Prince Gwynne (20,5 17) ', dam, Princes Royal (19,879). These fine animals were shipped to New Zealand by Messrs Sturgeon and Sons, Gi-ay's Hall, Essex, and landed in Wellington 14th January, 1876. Ex Pleiades, from London. Six (G) first- class Lincoln Rams, selected from the Hocks of St. P. Robinson, Hertlofe, Alford J. J. Clark, Welton-le-Wold, Louth S. Kemp, Thurlby Giange, Alford Aud are equal to any Rams ever imported into New Zealand. Ex Pleiades, from London. Thirteen (13) pure bred Leicester Rams, bred by John Borton, Esq., Manor House, Barton-le-street, Malton. These Hams have all pedigrees, and are of the purest blood which could bo procured in Yorkshire. Ex Commissary, from London. Six (6) pure bred merino Rams of the celebrated King George the Third breed, descended from Negrettis, presented to that monarch by the King of Spain. The strain has ever since been carefully cultivated and improved by Messrs Sturgeon, and it is generally admitted that their type of Merino Rams is the finest that can be produced, combining length and fineness of wool, with weight of carcase, strength of constitution, and every other good quality. The stock can be inspected at any time by applying ac the oilice of the auctioneers, where pedigrees may be examined, catalogues procured, and any other information obtained.
