Wednesday, February 3rd. [Before Major Turner, R.M.] Thomas Mason v. J. B. Obrrigan— Claim, £5 16s 6cl. Judgment for amount and costs £2 7s. Joseph Ivess v. G. F. Sherwood— Claim, £12 6s. Mr Ivess sued Mr G. F. Sherwood as Chairman of the Road Board for two insertions of the Assessment Roll in the Patea Mail. Mr Sherwood was of opinion that the proprietor of the Mail had made the insertion longer and more expensive than was ordered. Judgment for amount and costs £7 ss. Furlong v. Dunne — Judgment summons. Adjotmied. Same v. Russell — Judgment summons. Adjourned. Oaldwellv. McLean— Claim, £2 10s. Paid into Court. Highway Board v. C. and E. Symes — Road rate, £5 18s 4d. Judgment for amount and costs.
