WA NGAEHU HIGHWAY BOARD.
Thursday, February 3rd.
The Board met at 2.30 p.m. Present — Messrs Fleetwood, (Chairman), j3oiumerville, Baker, Owen, and Higgie. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. ai^GlNEEll's JtEPOKT. The Engineer's report was read and adopted. OVERLOADING. The Seubetakv. stated that he had got the loads on two drays with narrow tires to be ascertained on the weigh bridge, and that they both considerably exceeded the weight permitted by law. Proposed by Mr Baker and seconded by Mr Sommerville — That action in future cases be taken, and that they be put into the hands of a Solicitor. COKKESPONDENCE. Letter from H. Montgomery, objecting to a special rate on Upokongaro line, as not in any way benefitting him. The Board could not entortain the objection. From Superintendent approving of special rates onUpokongara-Mangawhero and Long Acre Valley lines. [Left sitting.]
