DuNKDEsr, February 2. Messrs Driver, Stewart, .and Co. report : Fat Stock.—46 head of cattle were disposed of at the Kaikorai Yards to-day, and about 15 head of medium quality were turned out. Prices ranged from £4 to £S 15s for cows, and from £6 to £7 10s for bullocks. The : greater portion ■' was of good quality, and we do not think the lot realised an average of over 17s -6d to 18s per lOOlbs. We sold at the yards 80 head at above rates, and outside 25 head. 305 sheep only were penned; of these 210 cross-breds we sold at 12s each, and 26 ewes at 9s 3d. Other sales were 69 ewes at 5s 3d to 6s. For immediate delivery, we quote prime crbss-breds at 2Jd; ditto merinos, 2d per lb. ■ For delivery end of February to Ist March a' farthing, more, can be got. We have placed 300 cross-breds and 1000 merinos for forward delivery. Fat lambs of prime quality are worth 9s to 9s 6d. 85 of 'medium quality were sold at the yards to-day, at 8s 3d to 8s 6d. ' • • Store Sheep.—Although sheep offering are very limited, and for the most part confined to aged wethers and ewes, several transactions have taken place during the past wtek and any good lots find buyers at our quotations, say:—Cross lireds, 2 tcoth and over,.6s to 10s; young merino wethers, .6s'; ditto, aged, 4s 9d to ss; young ewes, ss'to 5s Bd'; ditto! aged 3s 6d to1 4s. We have sold 3000 aged wether 3at ss, and 5000 cross-bred lambs at Bs, with several transactions pending. We have also sold small lots of Leicester ram lambs, £2 to £2 2s. ,: Store Cattle.—Owing to the lateness of of the season the demand has considerably fallen off, consequently lots can only be> cleared at a reduction on late prices. We quqte well-bred quiet bullocks at £3 10s to £4; mixed mobs, 40s and upwards.
