Jan. 4. 1869. , : > TO CONTRACTORS, i W TpHE Telegraph Commissioner is I prepared to receive tenders for ; the delivery and cartas'e of Three Thousand (3000) Poles for a line of Telegranh to be constructed between ' Wangamii and the City of Wellington The poles will have to he delivered in the first instance in the following quantities by sea at the places below mentioned, and then carted and laid along the line at points to he hereafter indicated r-^" 590, more : OT less, on the South Bank of the Wanganui River . 500, more or less, on the North Bank of theijYlanawatu River ,: ICOO, more or less, on the South Bank of the- Manawatu River 660, more or less, to be carted ~ only from Wellington to Pair -~... kakariki. : Tenders to state the price per pole . for cartage and delivery for each section separately. , The poles will be delivered to the contractor at the Telegraph Stores, Wellington. Each tender to be accompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds (£25) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited by any tenderer should he refuse to take up his tender in the event;of its'being accepted. Each tender must include the names of two sureties for approval, who are willing to become bond for the due performance of the contract, in the event of the tender being accepted, and must be accompanied by a notification to that effect, signed by the two proposed sureties.
