Public Notices. TO CONTRACTORS. THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive tenders for the supply and delivery of Two Thousand Five Hundred (2500) Poles (more or less), for a line ot Telegraph to be constructed between Wan ganui and the City of Wellington. ':■ The poles to he sawn from the heart of Totara, and to be twenty (20) feet long, eight (8) inches square at the butt," and six (6) inches square at the top. The poles to be sound, straight, and free from sap. N.B.—No poles will be accepted that contain the least sap or other defect, such as being speckled. The poles are to be delivered at points and distances hereinafter to be indicated, along the coach road between Wellington arid Wanganui. Tenders to specify the price per pole.
