The South Australian Government have offered rewards amounting' to £6OOO for the conviction of incendiaries by whom it is alleged that the various tires which occurred in the Colony during the year have been caused. The cricket match between the English team and Eleven of New South Wales was concluded this afternoon, and resulted in a victory for the visitors by four wickets The principal scorers in the second innings of the Englishmen were : Bates, c and b. 25 ; and Shrewsbury; b, 25. (Received Nov. 25—0.55 a.m.) Melbourne, November 24. A dispute has arisen between operative bootmakers and boot manufacturers in this city and has resulted in locking out twelve hundred employees. (Received November 25—2.40 p.m.) Melbourne, November 25. The death is announced Sir Wm. Mitchell, President of the Legislative Council, from gastrus, induced by eating some poisonous fish on Saturday last. Received November 20—0.40 a.m.) The consideration of protest lodged against Rufus. the winner of the V.R.C.'s Derby, was concluded to-day and resulted in its dismissal. Both Houses of Parliament adjourned to-day as a mark of respect to the late Sir William Mitchell, President of the Legislative Council. (Received November 25—10 p.m.) Sailed, this afternoon, Te Anau, for Bin IF. (Received November 25—2.40 p.m.) Sydney, November 25. Arrived, yesterday, Tarawera. The steamship Hero was towed here safely from Newcastle. The passengers for Fiji will bo transferred to another vessel. (Received November 25—10 p,m.) The homeward mails, per Orient Co.'s steamship Iberia, from Melbourne, Oct. 27th, were delivered via Brindisi, to-day. (Received November 25—10 p.m.)
