TITOKO WAIIU ADVANCING ON EANGITIKEI. EXCITEMENT IN WELLINGTON ALL MILITIA CALLED OUT. {BY ELEQTBIG TELEGRAPH.) (EEOM OUR OWjST correspondent.) "Welletv-gtok", Monday. A messenger arrived yesterday from Wanganui. A report had been received from Turakina that Titoko "NVaru had crossed the Wanganui river, and was marching towards Eangitikei. There is property in that district, of the value of £50,000, extending over an area of twenty miles, and entirely unprotected. Great excitement prevails. The first, second, and third class Militia have been called out.
