WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
OPAKI MEETING A very pleasant time was spent at the last meeting of the year of the Opaki Women’s Institute in the form of a friendly chat and social afternoon. Mrs Jaine presided. A demonstration on lace bark work was much enjoyed. A competition for the best home-made Christmas gift was won by Mrs M. Wyeth, Miss J. Wyeth being second and Mrs Jaine third. Members decided to hold a garden party on 12th February at the home of Mrs Raynor. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses and brought a happy afternoon to a close.
