' Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated 9th December:— Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): NX Down lambs, 28/361bs. and 28/36 lbs., not quoted. Best N.I. xbd. lambs, 28/361bs. and 36/421b5., not quoted. N.I. 2nd quality lambs, av. 30/311b5., not quoted. Best N.I. wether sheep, 6d to 4Jd lb. N.I. ewes, 4 3-8 d to 3 3-8 d per lb. N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220, 3 5-Bd. Compared with last week’s quotations: —Wethers, under 561b5., l-8d per lb. higher; 56/641b5., 3-8 d per lb. higher; ewes, under 481bs. and 64/721b5., id per lb. higher. Others unchanged. The market on the spot is very firm allround, owing to small supplies, particularly for lambs.
