COMMON GAMING HOUSE
HOTELKEEPER FINED. AUCKLAND, This Day. Holding that Fred Murray, the occupier of the Manukau Hotel at Onehunga, used the hotel for betting purposes, Mr Orr Walker, SAL, convicted him and imposed a fine of £25 for keeping his premises as a common gaming house. The evidence showed that accused took bets from a plain-clothes con 3 stable. —(P.A.)
