AUSTRALIAN PROTESTS. SURVEY TO BE UNDERTAKEN. CANBERRA, Monday. As the results of many protests against the influx of Italians, an early survey of the alien migration position is to be made by the new Minister of the Interior, Mr John McEwen, who expressed the opinion that there was really no need for an outcry. He pointed out that of 5120 foreign migrants entering Australia this year, 1882 were Italians.
