Tlie curfew .order lias been rescinded, indicating that the authorities regard the situation as greatly improved. A new Arab Higher Committee is reported to be forming in Syria, where the presence of the Grand Mufti is perturbing the French authorities, who are expected to act vigorously if he engages in anti-British activities.

BERLIN, Wednesday.
The German Press has opened a barrage of abuse of British policy in Palestine. The Nazi organ, “Volkischer Beobaehter,” declares that the Union Jack waving victoriously over a scene of desolation and horror is Britain’s idea of world peace.
ITALY ACCUSED. BEHIND ARAB REVOLT. (Received Thursday, 11 a.m.) PARIS, Wednesday. Deputy Dekerillis, a member of the Chamber’s Foreign Affairs Committee, writing in a newspaper, declares that Italy is behind the Arab revolt in Palestine. He adds: “Throughout Arabia, including Egypt and Yemen, Italian agents are working against Britain 'which has undoubtedly been weakened by the Palestine guerilla fighting. As. Britain is our partner it is cause for uneasiness.’’
