SCHOOLS’ COMPETITION.

MAURICEYILLE RESULTS. (Special to “Daily Times.”) The Wellington Education Board’s Home and Farm Arts and Crafts competition, under the auspices of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, was held in the Mauriceville Hall on Friday. Pupils of the Mauriceville, Mauriceville West, Hastwells and Ihuraua Valley schools competed. The prizes and certificates were presented by Miss Heckler, who congratulated the pupils on the high standard of the work displayed, which was much higher than last year’s display. She also thanked members of the Mauriee-ville-Ihuraua branch of the division, who had assisted, and the teachers of the various schools. Thanks on behalf of the children were returned by Pat Howard, a pupil of the Mauriceville school. The children were afterwards entertained to afternoon tea.
