A BRILLIANT WIN. AGAINST MINOR COUNTIES. (Received Tuesday, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, Monday. The Press Association’s correspondent says: —The New Zealanders won brilliantly and with ease. The tourists scored brightly . during the morning, Kerr and Weir adding 174 runs. Kerr played superbly, his score, which was the highest! of the tour, including twenty-eight 4’s and one 6. Weir also was aggressive. New Zealand lost the last eight wickets for 107 runs. The Minor Counties in the second innings always were struggling. Carson and Gallichan bowled so well that four qx'q out for 60 runs. Gallichan sometimes was almost as fast as Cowie. The howlers were well supported by excellent catching.
The New Zealanders, going for runs, hit out and lost three wickets cheaply in their second! innings, but scored the winning runs quickly. New Zealand won by 7 wickets. The scores are as follow: — MINOR COUNTIES.
