ST MATTHEW’S CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. ADDRESS BY BISHOP. The Bishop of Wellington, the Rt. Rex. 11. St. Barbe Holland, addressed a large gathering of ladies in the Parish; Hall yesterday afternoon. The meeting was arranged by the St. Matthew’s Ladies’ Guild. The Bishop spoke on the moral issues confrqo4ing the community. On behalf of the guild, his Lordship made a presentation to Mrsi Pinkerton, one of the oldest members of the guild,-on the occasion of her sßth birthday. Mrs Pinkerton was also presented with a bouquet, and a similar compliment was paid to l Mrs Richards, another member *of long standing. Items, which were much appreciated, u'ere given by the following :-4slesdames Coleman and Hope, vocal Miss Edith Ralph, vocal solo, and Mms Betty Coleman, elocution. Afternoon tea was served by the guild.
