CARTERTON SALE. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our weekly sale at Carterton yesterday when we offered a big yarding to a good attendance. Sheep sold well and all pens sold at prices Avell up to expectations. Cattle were easier, and prices seem to favour buyers. Baconers and porker pigs made late rates but weaners were hard to quit. Following ai;e prices:— Sheep: Fat ewes, 19/7 to 22/3; fat and forward ewes, 16/3, 17/1 to 18/6; store ewes, 13/, 13/6 to 14/9; fat lambs, 22/1, 26/2 to 27/6; fat and forward lambs, 19/1 to 20/2; woolly wether lambs, 19/6 to 21/; medium wether lambs, 12/6 to 14/7; small wether lambs, 8/ to 10/7. cull ewes, 7/ to 8/3; b.f. lambs, 18/2, 19/8 to 19/9; medium b.f. lambs, 12/9, 14/7 to 16/8; woolly ewe lambs, 23/7 to 25/6; small b.f. lambs, 11/1 to 11/9; s.m. ewes, r.w. S.D. ram, 18/ to 23/1; f.m. ewes, 14/3 to 16/7; m.a. ewes,'r.w. S.D. ram, to 26/6; fat wethers, 27/ to 28/3; forward wethers, 24/2 to 25/6; 2-th. ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, to 28/. Cattle: Cows in milk, £4 to. £6/5/; cows on drop, to £5/5/; springing Jer- | sey heifers, to £5/2/6; empty Jersey heifers, £2/10/, £2/15/ to £3/4/; fat cows, £3/15/ to £5/2/6; forward cows, £2/5/ to £3/12/6; store cows, 30/ to £2/2/6; cull cows, 10/ to 25/; cows and calves, £3/11/ to £4/19/; potter bulls, £2/10/ to £5.
