MAORI CHARGED, 'V i WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER. ( WANGANUI, This Day. As the result of what is alleged to \ have been a domestic dispute betweeaJi two brothers and his wife, Matthew" Hill (31), a Maori, was charged with the attempted murder of Alice Hill, and was remanded till 14th October. Bail was fixed at self £2OO, and two sureties of £2OO. It is alleged that a rifle was fired in the house, and that the bullet penetrated a .door and went out through the roof. No one was injured.
