MASTERTON BUILDING SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of shareholders in the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society was held yesterday afternoon, in the Society’s offices, Queen Street, Masterton, Mr D. M. Graham (chairman of directors) presiding. The sixtieth annual report and balance sheet disclosed a profit for the year to 31st August of £1561, against £1451 for the corresponding period of last year, and percentage of profit on average share capital showed; at 5.21 per cent, against 4.90 per cent last year. During the period under review, total loans advanced from £55,275 to £64,363. The retiring directors, Messrs E. G. Eton and J. L. Hughes, were, declared re-elected, there being no other candidates.
The auditors, Messrs G. W. Sellar and N. H. James, were reappointed for a further term of twelve months, without opposition.
