GOLF
WHAREMOUKU CLUB. CLOSING OF SEASON. PRESENTATION- OF PRIZES. A very enjoyable week-end Avas spent by members of the Wharemouku Golf Club, when the season Avas regretfully brought to a close. After a mixed'foursome and putting competition, afternoon tea Avas served by the ladies. Mr J. Mulvaney (president), in a A 7 ery happy speech, thanked all members for thoughtful consideration and for the general feeling of goodAvill and sociability Avhich had been such a feature of the club.
The many beautiful trophies displayed Avere donated by members, and Mr MuKanev thanked them all and asked Mrs A. Keith (secretary) to present them.

Championship (Saunders Cup), Mrs Mulvaney; men’s' championship, Mr H. Pither; president’s trophy, Mrs Kerslake; captain’s trophy, Mr A. W. Charlcson; runner-up, Alister Charleson; best aggregate, ladies, Mrs MulA 7 aney; men, Mr A. CressAvell; hidden holes, Mrs Mulvaney; players avlio had not been members of any other club, Mrs FoAvler; eclectic competition, men, Mr S. Charlcson; ladies, Mrs FoAvler; one club match, ladies Mrs Mulvaney, men Mr S. Charleson; flag competition, Mrs Kcrslake; most reduced handicap, Mrs Keretake; Canadian foursome, Mr StoAvell and Miss Rutherford; medal round, Mrs Kerslake; for those avlio had not Avon anything, Miss Welch; this year’s players, Mrs Handyside; putting competition, Miss M. Pither, Mr Stowell; medal rounds, Alister’Charleson and Morgan Mulvaney. On behalf of the members of the club, Mr Hubbard asked Mr and Mrs Mulvaney to accept a handsome clock as a small token, expressing their feeling of gratitude for the many happy days spent at Wharemouku, and expressed the great regret that all feel at the coming departure from there of Mr and Mrs Mulvaney. Mr Pither then presented Mrs Keith (secretary of the club) with a beautiful handbag as a mark of esteem and appreciation, and Mr Charleson presented Mr Hubbard, avlio has been a very enthusiastic Avorker for the club since its inception, Avith a crystal vase. RIVERSIDE CLUB. A mixed foursome Avill be played next Saturday and partners Avill be arranged on arrival at the course.
