FORESTERS’ LODGE
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Foresters’ Lodge was held last night, when C.R. Bro. R. Davies presided over a large attendance of members. The sick visitors reported favourably on the sick members, and the secretary reported that two brothers had declared on the sick fund, and one declared off. Bros. J. Barr and R. Walker reported on the activities of the Dispensary, and also placed the monthly statement before the Lodge. Bro. R. Davies reported on the U.F.S. Council’s card tournament. Bro. C. H. Howes reported on the Saturday night’s card tournament. The following delegates were appointed to represent the Lodge at Court Pahiatua’s jubilee, to be held on Wednesday night:-—Bros. R. Davies, G. 11. Bell, R. L. Crocker, W. L. Sharman and G. L. Scrivener. MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN. A trophy was presented to the Lodge, to be competed for annually in connection with a membership campaign. The member introducing the most members during the year will hold the trophy for 12 months, and he will also be presented with a trophy which he will retain. The campaign will commence on 31st August. The donor was heartily thanked for the trophy. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l4 16s 8d were passed for payment.
