A NEW PUBLICATION
A very useful production, in the shape of a newspaper and population map of New Zealand, has been forwarded to this office. It could almost be termed an illustrated newspaper directory, because it shows all the towns in which daily, tri-weeklv or twice-a-week papers are. published, and gives, in addition, the population of the towns which possess daily papers. These have been compiled from the figures as disclosed in the census just completed, and are therefore, thoroughly up-to-date. Particulars are also given of a large number of weekly, monthly and other publications, in addition to a great deal of useful statistical information concerning New Zealand, such as motor vehicles registered, radio licenses,, telephone subscribers, total population, and so on.. The publication, which was produced by the Charles Haines Advertising Agency, Ltd., draws particular attention to the fact that New Zealanders arc the greatest newspaper readers in the world, indicating the value of the newspaper as a medium of advertising.
