HARRIERS
MASTERTON CLUB. ' About 20 members of the Masterton Harrier Club participated in the eyerpopular hares and hounds run last Saturday. The trail of about 7 miles consisted mostly of hilly country, which provided excellent training for the forthcoming Wanganui run next month. The trail being laid by J. Talbot and C. Mulvey, who were the hares for the Of the remainder, E. Creswell and G. Kempton were the first to finish the course, while those worthy of mention were J. Lochore, E. Carlson and H. Adcock, who ran good races. The Junior Club took a part of j the course as theix : run for the aftermjon. Training will be. held on Tuesday [and Thursday at 7 o’clock from dWark shed, and all are requested t<^ittend. KIATERE CLUB. On Saturday the Kiatere Harrier Club held training over a course of about five miles. The first three men to finish were W. McDonald, W. Burgess and R. Greeks, Some of the new members are beginning to show good, form and should be a big help to the club in the inter-club events this season, Next Saturday as many members as possible will journey to Petone to run against the C.Y.M. Club.
