BURGLARY IN MASTERTON
JEWELLERY STOLEN. RENALL ST.. HOUSE ENTERED. A quantity of jewellery, the property of Lady Hart and Mrs Hugh Mackay, was stolen on Saturday night from the residence of Mrs.Mackay, Renall Street. Sir Herbert and Lady Hart have been the guests of Mrs Mackay prior to their departure overseas. On Saturday night the occupants of the house attended a theatre and on their return the jewellery was found 1 to be missing. , Entry to the house, it is stated, was made through an unlocked window; In addition’ to' the jewellery, which is stated to be valued at about £2O, about 10s in silver was taken from a purse. The jewellery included watches, rings and a pearl pendant.
