GERMAN "NEW PLAN”
SAID TO HAVE FAILED. ANTI-SEMITIC CAMPAIGN. (Received Tuesday, 5.40 a.m.) LONDON,' Monday. The "Manchester Guardian’s” Berlin correspondent says the anti-Semitic campaign is a desperate attempt to divert public attention from economic realities. The collapse of foreign trade and the failure of Dr. Schacht’s "New Plan” to remedy it, caused widespread fears of inflation among the investing and propertied classes and the masses are discontented at the lowwages ruling. The Stahllieims have strongly resisted Hitlerism especially in respect of anti-Semitism. If the Nazis dissolve the Stahlliclm organisations throughout Germany it will be difficult to prevent their ieappearnn.ee in another form. Meanwhile the Nazis are concentrating on Jews. General Dalouge, a- colleague of Herr Helldorf, denounces Jews as criminals and declares that the pickpockets are almost all Jews, who also are the principal drug traffickers, gaming house proprietors and sponsors of other illegal activities.
