CROSSING ACCIDENT
MOTOR DRIVER INJURED. WAIPUKURAU, Thursday. Struck by a train on Wednesday evening at a level crossing on the main road between Waipukurau and Waipawa, a car OAvned and driven by Mr W. Goring Johnston, of Tamumu, Avas hurled back across the road, badly smashed, and thrown doAvn a bank and through a fence. The driver had a miraculoAis escape, suffering only from shock and slight injuries.—(P.A.)
