GERMAN DEBT DEFAULT
PROTEST FROM U.S.A. ■ (Received Saturday, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Friday. Mr Cordell Hull, Secretary of State, announced that the United States Ambassador to Berlin delivered a protest to the German Foreign Office to-day, against Germany’s failure to pay £400,000 interest due to the American holders of Dawes Plan bonds on 15th April.
