POPPY DAY
MASTERTON APPEAL. The Poppy Day appeal in Masterton yesterday realised a total of £l4B 3s 3d, slightly below last year’s figure of £lsl. Under tho guidance of Mesdames T. Jordan, J. Caselberg and J. H. Irving, with a small army of lady helpers, the sale of poppies proceeded briskly throughout tho day. The Wairarapa R.S.A. desires to acknowledge its indebtedness to these voluntary workers for their great, assistance. No returns from other parts of the district are yet to hand.
