VALUE or INJECTION'S. LONDON, Friday. The ‘ 1 Morning Post” gives prominence to a discovery made by an Australian, Dr. V. G. Walsh, and Dr. A. C. Fraser, at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London. It is understood that Dr. Walsh is at present on a visit home. The discovery is the result of six years’ investigation',, and concerns emulsified Olive oil, injections of whicfi apparently have power to absorb and render harmless toxins produced in the blood in acute bacterial disease. It is stated that the doctors have been able, in 20 cases of lobar pneumonia, to shorten the duration of hospital treatment by. nearly half, and reduce the period of convalescence even more. Encouraging results have also been obtained in cases of rheumatic fever, erysipelas and septicaemia. *
