HEAVY TRAFFIC FEES

ALLOCATIONS FOR WAIRARAPA. The heavy traffic fees received and allocated by the Masterton County Council for the license quarter ended 28th February, 1935, in accordance with the agreement as advised by the Commissioner of ‘ Transport, arc as follows, the fees for the corresponding quarter, 1933-34, being shown in parentheses: FEES RECEIVED. Counties: Masterton, £74 4s 8d (£74 16s 6d); Featherston,’ £230 18s lid (£219 15s lid); Wairarapa South,. £IQO, 13s (£3B Is 6d); Pahiatua, £132 0s 2d (£133 14s 4d); Eketahuna, £42 10s 9d (£42 2s 7d); Akitio, £64 16s 2d (£o4s): Castlepoint, £7 8s Id (£lO 9s 2d). Boroughs: Masterton, £492 0s 5d (£544 9s 8d); Pahiatua, £6l 6s 4d (£6O 5s 9d); Featherston, £ll7 17s 8d (£ll7 12s 4d); Greytown, £29 16s 5d (£sl 14s 3d): Carterton, £llß 5s lid (£lO2 13s 7d; Eketahuna, £26 5s (£l9 5s 6d). Total fees received for the license quarter, £1498 3s 6d (£1467 5s Id); less 14 per cent commission to Masterton County Council, £22 9s 6d (£22 0s Id); net total, £1475 14s (£1445 ss). ALLOCATION. Counties’ proportion, 80 per cent, £llBO 11s (£IOB3 18s 9d); boroughs’ proportion, 20 per cent, £295 3s (£361 6s 3d). , • Apportionment to boroughs: Masterton Borough Council to receive 40 per cent of the fees apportioned between the boroughs in the district, the remaining boroughs to have the balance equally divided. Masterton, £llß Is 2d (£144 10s 6d); Pahiatua, Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, Eketahuna, Martinborough, £29 10s 4d each (£36 2s 8d each); total, £295 3s (£361 6s 3d). . Apportionment to eounties (to be distributed on the undermentioned percentage basis): Masterton, 21.35 per cent, £252 0s lid (£231 8s sd); Featherston, 21.56 per cent (£254 10s 6d (£233 13s 10d); Wairarapa South, 16.41 per cent, £193 14s 7d (£177 17s 7d); Pahiatua, 14.06 per cent, £l6s' 19s 8d (£152 8s); Eketahuna, 10.42 per cent,/ £123 0s 3d (£ll2 18s lid); Akitio, 8.02 per cent, £94 13s 7d (£B6 18s 8d); Castlepoint, 4.64 per cent, £54 15s 7d (£SO 5s lid); Mauriceville, 3.54 per cent, £4l 15s lid (£3B 7s sd); total, £llBO 11s (£IOB3 18s 9d). Note.—For the license quarter ended on 28th February, 1934, the allocation was on the following basis: —Counties, 75 per cent; boroughs, 25 per cent.
