BAND MUSIC
A GRADE TEST. WON BY ST. HILDA. TIMARTJ, Friday. The A grade final test was held at the Band Contest at Timaru to-night. St. Hilda Municipal were declared winners of the hundred-guinea gold cup, which was competed for for the first time.
Timaru won the first test and St. Hilda the second test. The points were: —St. Hilda, 143, 144, total 287 points; Timaru Municipal, 146, 140, 286; Port Nicholson Silver, 145, 141, 286; Queen Alexandra’s Oown, 138, 142, 280; InveiAfcgill Civic. 139, 137, 176; PalNorth Garrison, 140, 136, 276; Municipal, 137, 139, 276.
