THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
ASSISTANCE APPRECIATED. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Regret at His Excellency’s impending departure, and appreciation of his understanding and assistance to dairy farmers, was expressed in an illuminated address presented to the GovernorGeneral to-day. The address was subscribed for by means of a penny fund, to which 45,1.93 dairy farmers of the Dominion contributed. The surplus, after the costs of the address have been paid—£lßo—will be used to augment Lord Bledisloe’s prize fund at Massey Agricultural College. The presentation was made by Mr Arthur Morton, president of the National Dairy Conference. Others who attended were Messrs P. H. Anderson (Cambridge) and F. Parsons (Whcnuakura), members of the executive of the National Dairy Conference; Mr J. Parlanc (Christchurch), representing the Dominion Group Herd Testing Federation, and Mr L. 0. Benscman, secretary of the Conference. —(P.A.)
