PRINCE OF WALES
VISIT TO VIENNA TOUR OF INSPECTION. rtess Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright I RUGBY, Wednesday. The Prince of Wales, before leaving Vienna this evening by the ordinary express train for Budapest, made a tour of inspection of workers’ flats. The Prince is keenly interested in the housing problem, and welcomed the opportunity of visiting the flats, which have a world-wide reputation. On. his return from Budapest, the Prince will witness ski racing at Semmering. He is expected to return to Vienna on Sunday evening, and may make the journey to London by air on Monday.
The Prince’s visit to the famous flats that were bombarded last year aroused intense interest among the tenants. The Prince lias already met Doctor Schuschnigg, Chancellor, and Prince Starhcmberg, ViceChancellor. He had delighted the middle classes and by dancing in a simple cafe, has now pleased the Viennese workers. He arrived at dwellings bareheaded, carrying a camera, took a number of snapshots, and inspected several homes.
"That’s a reasonable man, even if he is a Prince,” said a Socialist. Another said: "It is.a pity he didn’t come a year ago.”—(British Wireless).
