SHOW STOCK

SALE AT SOLWAY. Prices on a par, and in some cases in advance of ruling market rates were realised at the sale of fat stock held at the Solway Showgrounds yesterday in conjunction with the Masterton A. and P. Association’s annual show. The offering, which numerically was well down on that of last year, came forward in fairly good condition and there was a spirited demand for sheep and lambs showing condition and quality. Inferior quality animals, however, were not sought after and passings were more frequent than usual. Buyers operated within fairly restricted limits, but even so the prices realised were very satisfactory.
